Global TalentLink – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern how employers, job seekers and other users interact with Global TalentLink’s recruitment, staffing and HR support services.

Applies to: Employers, candidates & website users

Use of Global TalentLink Services

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all recruitment, staffing, HR advisory and related services provided by Global TalentLink (“GTL”). By engaging GTL as an employer or registering with GTL as a candidate, you agree to be bound by these Terms, in addition to any specific service agreements that may be signed.

2. Service Scope

GTL may provide one or more of the following services to employer clients:

  • Recruitment and candidate sourcing
  • Screening and background checks, where applicable and permitted
  • Shortlisting and interview coordination
  • Temporary, contract, daily hire or permanent placement
  • HR consulting, advisory or program support (if requested)

GTL does not guarantee that a particular candidate will accept an offer, remain in a role beyond the applicable guarantee period, or perform at any specific level.

3. Client Responsibilities

Employer clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete job descriptions and hiring requirements.
  • Share truthful company information, including work conditions and compensation ranges.
  • Notify GTL immediately when a GTL-referred candidate is hired in any capacity.
  • Maintain confidentiality of candidate CVs, profiles and assessment data.
  • Pay all agreed service fees within the stated timelines.

4. Fees & Payment Terms

  • Fees are calculated based on an agreed percentage or flat service rate per placement or project.
  • Unless otherwise stated in writing, invoices are payable within 14 days of issue.
  • GTL may charge a late payment fee and/or suspend services where invoices remain overdue.
  • Refunds are not issued, except where clearly provided for under GTL’s Guarantee / Replacement Policy.

5. Guarantee / Replacement Policy

If a GTL-placed candidate resigns or is terminated during the agreed guarantee period (typically 30–90 days, depending on the job type), GTL will, at its discretion:

  • Provide a one-time free replacement candidate, or
  • Provide service credit towards a future recruitment assignment, if applicable.

The guarantee becomes void if:

  • The client materially changes the job role, work conditions or salary after hiring.
  • The candidate leaves due to unsafe, abusive or unethical work conditions.
  • The client has unpaid or overdue invoices with GTL.

6. Confidentiality

Both GTL and the client must protect confidential information, including:

  • Candidate CVs, personal data and assessment records
  • Compensation details and offer terms
  • Company strategies, internal documents and any other non-public information shared during recruitment

7. Direct Hiring Clause

Employers agree not to bypass GTL by hiring, contracting or engaging a candidate introduced by GTL within 12 months of referral without paying the agreed recruitment fee. This applies whether the candidate is hired directly or through a related entity or partner.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GTL is not liable for:

  • Any act, omission or misconduct committed by an employee after placement.
  • Financial or reputational losses that arise from the employee’s actions.
  • Decisions taken by the client based on interviews, references or assessments.

GTL provides candidate information “as is”, based on documents, references and checks that are reasonably available at the time of recruitment.

9. Candidate Responsibilities

Job seekers working with GTL agree to:

  • Provide truthful and accurate personal, academic and professional information.
  • Submit valid documents, certificates and identification when requested.
  • Attend interviews and assessments on time, or give reasonable notice if they cannot attend.
  • Conduct themselves professionally with GTL staff and potential employers.

10. No Candidate Fees

GTL does not charge job seekers any recruitment or placement fees. All agreed service fees are paid by employer clients.

If any person or organisation claims to collect money on behalf of Global TalentLink in exchange for a job, candidates must treat this as suspicious and report it to GTL immediately.

11. Data Protection

Candidate information is used only for recruitment and placement purposes. GTL may share candidate profiles with potential employers that have relevant vacancies, while applying reasonable safeguards to protect personal data.

GTL aims to align with good data protection practices applicable in Liberia and with the expectations of international partners.

12. No Employment Guarantee

Registration with GTL does not guarantee that:

  • Every applicant will receive a job offer, or
  • Every interview will result in employment.

GTL facilitates opportunities but final hiring decisions remain with employers.

13. Website Use

Users of the GTL website agree not to misuse or illegally copy:

  • Job listings and vacancy information
  • Company profiles and public content
  • Online application forms and templates
  • Downloadable documents and resources

Automated scraping, data harvesting or unauthorised republication of GTL content is not permitted.

14. Amendments to These Terms

GTL may update or revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be published on the GTL website. Continued use of GTL services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws and regulations of the Republic of Liberia. Any disputes arising from the use of GTL services will, where possible, be resolved amicably, and if necessary, in accordance with applicable Liberian law.
